Currently v1.3.0
Changelog
Every meaningful change to PDFKeyFinder, newest first.
v1.3.0
27 Aug 2026
Smarter & more honest
- Detects PDFs that only carry an owner/permission password (empty open password) and tells you instantly — no pointless wordlist.
- Reads the encryption revision on load: RC4 (R2–R4) is flagged fast, AES-256 (R5/R6) is refused up front as infeasible.
- Clearer empty state — guides you to enter words/numbers or a pattern instead of showing “0 attempts”.
- Fixed the “Buy me a coffee” button contrast and spacing.
v1.2.0
27 Aug 2026
Flexible inputs & new look
- “Names & words” and “Dates & numbers” fields now accept comma-separated values — any word, any number.
- One-click pattern presets (4 letters + 4 digits, Name + date, 6/8 digits, and more).
- Redesigned “How it works” with numbered steps, and a refreshed footer.
- Added a mobile menu and responsive polish.

- Animated attempt counter and a confetti celebration on success.
- Private visitor counter, Google Analytics, and a hardened admin area.
